On Saturday, March 21 2015, the Kurdish community in Hungary organized a reception in the Hotel “Novotel”, directly in the centre of Budapest. Numerous members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of the Hungarian government and of leading parties, as well as Members of the MOL company, which has several ongoing projects in Kurdistan-Iraq, came together to celebrate the Kurdish New Year Newroz.
The event was opened by Dr Mustafa Ramazan, the representative of the Kurdish Regional Government-Iraq. In his speech, Dr Ramazan wished all guests present a happy new year, but also reminded them of the difficult situation the Kurdistan Region has to cope with and dedicated the evening to all IDPs and all families that do not cease giving their best to help the refugees.
