Prime Minister Masrour Barzani visited Türkiye for a series of high-level meetings in Istanbul, led by his meeting with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at Dolmabahçe Palace. The discussions focused on strengthening relations between Türkiye and the Kurdistan Region, expanding cooperation across various sectors, regional peace and stability, the formation of Iraq’s new federal cabinet, and the peace process and disarmament of the PKK.

In further meetings, Prime Minister Barzani discussed developments affecting the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and the wider region, as well as cooperation in foreign affairs, security, trade, oil, electricity supply, energy, and natural resources.
